Yesterday we hosted the first New Starter Induction Day of 2023, where we welcomed 13 fresh faces to the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association who have joined us over the past few months.
The day plays a pivotal role in our induction process, allowing new starters to gain a deeper understanding of the different teams and functions within the Association. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to network and build relationships with peers.
During the day, we were lucky enough to be joined by Hazel Carter, award-winning author of the inspiring book “Life’s Good, it’s the disease that’s the problem.
Hazel gave a moving and candid talk about her experience caring for her husband who sadly died from MND, which I am sure will leave a lasting impact on everyone in the room. Thank you for sharing your story, and we look forward to reading your book when it is released on June 21 – Global MND Awareness Day.
