What are the Causes of MND?

The exact causes of MND remain unclear, but research suggests a combination of genetic and environmental factors may play a role.

In a small percentage of cases MND is inherited due to specific genetic mutations, while in others, environmental exposures and lifestyle choices may contribute to the development of the disease.
